Sealants
At Murphy Family Dental our goal is to prevent dental disease as much as possible. We want to start seeing our patients as children, care for them right up to adulthood and never find a cavity! One way cavities can be prevented is through the placement of sealants.
Even if your child brushes and flosses carefully it is difficult – sometimes impossible – to clean the tiny grooves and pits on certain teeth. Food and bacteria build up in these crevices, putting your child at risk for tooth decay. Sealants “seal out” food and plaque and reduce the risk of decay.
Sealants on permanent teeth with deep grooves are standard treatment for children at Murphy Family Dental. We want to build a world without tooth decay, one child at a time.
